The Rubric
So, what are we all about? Like most communities, we are around for the mingling of members, constructive criticism on you works, and to give you something to do, not to mention that you get to make a claim to coolness. We are not specifically for visual or written art, but we attempt to blend the two forms.

What is the point of joining?
Well, every month, a theme will be posted. Something either thought up by me, or by one of the members. It is your task during the month to make a piece of art (writing, photo, hand drawn, whatever you like) that reflects that theme. After the due date (the last day of the month, give or take), the members look over the entries and objectively decide which best emulates what was listed as the task. They then send a note to the community giving their vote for the month. The winner(s) get a little badge or something to put in their journal (and stroke their ego a bit). It is all about improvement, inspiration, and having a good time.

Seems interesting enough. How do I join?
Send the community, or me (~lavabeast), a note. You don’t have to answer any deep questions to get in. You don’t have to send me money. You don’t have to give me your first-born. We are not (usually) elitists.
